WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT IT?

Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him. What does that even mean?

It means that the pain was worth the promise.

So here we are at Good Friday. We sit in the darkness of this day because it’s how we fully appreciate what Jesus was willing to endure on our behalf and the healing beauty of the resurrection. It’s how we understand the brokenness of our sin but reach out with hope for the future. Spending time truly recognizing the weight of this day should also ignite our desire to live a life worthy of the promise that led Jesus to the cross on our behalf.
